GOP = WTFOMGPWNED
Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t update sooner. Where to begin? Everyone at the office thats republican figured that Democrats would only take house by 3 or 4 seats. And what happened? We got a new speaker of the house, Dems took House, and Senate, and Rumsfeld resigned. Could it get any better? Well, the answer is yes, it could; but impeaching the president and cheney is out of the question. Its funny how it all came down to Virginia, where Sen. George Allen (macaca guy) was losing by roughly 7,200 votes.
Everyone is freaking out about the nomination of Nancy Pelosi, they think she’s too liberal. I say, bring it on. We need someone thats too liberal democrat to reverse the 16 years of way too right wing republican. If you get a chance, read ‘The courage of our convictions, the democrat manifesto’. Its great reading now that everything has happened. I hate to admit this, but its one of those ‘we told you so’ moments. Lets be honest, the Republican party was handed their ass because they got lazy. There were no real campaigns or actions taken on their part to re-elect their constituents. How do you expect to re-elect when you can’t even get out of the office and run a positive campaign about the things you were doing? There was too much name calling, pointing the blame, and just overall stupid actions right before the election to make Americans want to vote Republican. And, the whole dirty politics action didn’t help. Calling minorities and threatening them, the auto-dialing machines, new’s stories; they all did not help.
Congrats to all Democratic parties that won their seats in this year’s elections. Now, lets worry about making the right choices all the way to 2008!
