here’s one for the boss.

Okay, so my boss has this fascination with writing things down. This would be perfect for him.

IOGear has a pretty rad product for those of you who still think the pen is mightier than the swordlaptop. The device clips onto a notebook and a special pen with a sensor is used to determine when you’re writing. Then whatever you write down appears on screen and can be made into text or an image. You can snag the wired version for $59.99 and the wireless version for a little more in Q1 of this year.
thanks to crunchgear.com for the quick review.

Updates.

Pardon me for the lack of updates to the blog, I have been a bit under the weather and stressed it may seem. I am going to try to get back onto the normal updates schedule, assuming everything else works out. I purchased a new vehicle, a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder, Silver with black interior. I really like the feel, it has alot of room on the inside and drives very nice.

I am still at Alchemy, work has been going well. We are about 90% done with a major project that has taken the last 3 months to complete. Now, I get to start on a few more smaller ones. No sleep for the weary.

I finally got the Media Center pc going at the house, It works great. Karen and I were playing with it the other night recording some episodes of Seinfeld instead of using the DVR. If only the scheduling was working better, I could call up Time Warner and get rid of our HD and DVR. Which reminds me, I have to yell at them for sucking at internet service. Since the switch from Adelphia, the speeds have dropped much more than expected, and the constant disconnects are getting really annoying.

I started talking to Keara alot more, her son is doing well. Keaton is getting very big. I wish there was a way to get a child on test drive, or a lease. Like a vehicle you could turn it in at the end of the 3 years and get a new one :D Okay, I’m not that mean, but I don’t think I could handle having a small child of my own right now.

My mom is in and out of the hospital now, the latest is her recurring battle with Cancer. This time apparently she has to have both of her lymph nodes removed and start drip treatment again. I haven’t blogged about this but my Great Aunt died later last year as a result of Cancer treatment, and partially her age.

Christmas and Hanukah were great. I got a GPS system for my Pathfinder, so hopefully I won’t get lost now (yea, right). A bunch of clothes, and of course the mandatory gift cards. In retrospect, I overspent on alot of the gifts for my family members as well. It was’nt as bad as the previous year where dropping 7 grand on gifts and expenses was the norm. Helloooo Tax Return.

Ok, thats it for now. I’m going to post another tech blog and get back to stuff for the day.

A sit down with the Bill.

Here is an interesting podcast with Robert Scoble and a bunch of other tech editors that got a chance to sit down with Bill Gates at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Some of the highlights in the podcast were Bill talking about the Live! platform, and how it will soon expand onto Vista, Media Center, and Xbox. He mentions an Xbox Live! version of IpTV, Windows Home Server, and some new idea’s for non-DRM certificates for the Zune.

Check it out if you’ve got 45mins to spare. You may also want to pause it and do some research on the new technology he babbles on.
